Kicking off this episode, Jack recounts messing with a Bitcoin scammer on Instagram. These scammers will go through great lengths to hustle their product and make a quick crypto-buck. Acc appreciates how, even in the country Jack made up to fool the scammer, there’s a version of Fro living there.
Elsewhere, Acc and Jack discuss at great length the $70 billion purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. While he is exiting Activision Blizzard as part of this deal, walking potato Bobby “Kotex” Kotick is receiving quite the cash windfall with no form of punishment likely. Acc and Jack also discuss live-service games and MMORPGs, and the positive and detrimental impacts they have on the gaming industry as a whole.
